About — How this site handles money and prices

About DiaperMath & Our Price PolicyWho we are, why every price here is labelled a model, how shopping links work today, and what will change when affiliate partnerships are approved.

What DiaperMath is

DiaperMath ("Budget Baby Lab for Busy Moms") is a unit-price reference for baby essentials, built for parents of 0–2 year olds who are short on time, short on sleep, and careful with money. We publish calculators, cost databases, and guides that convert shelf prices into cost per diaper, cost per ounce, and dollars per month. We are a small independent site; the tone is a competent friend who did the math at 2 a.m. so you don't have to — but the standards below are formal, and we hold ourselves to them.

Our price policy (the model-price rule)

Shopping links & affiliate disclosure (PR)

Shopping buttons on this site are currently plain search-result links to Amazon, Walmart and Target. They contain no affiliate IDs, and we earn nothing when you click them today. They are nonetheless marked with PR labelling and rel="sponsored", because we intend to replace them with affiliate links once partnerships for this site are approved — and we would rather over-disclose now than quietly change later. When that change happens, this page will be updated first, links will remain clearly labelled, and our rankings and calculations will remain based on unit prices, never on commission rates. A higher commission will never move a product up a table on DiaperMath; a lower unit price will. As an Amazon Associate, DiaperMath earns from qualifying purchases.

Health and benefits information

Feeding, sterilizing and safety content on this site reflects widely published official guidance at a general level. It is not medical advice. Your pediatrician knows your baby; we do not. Benefits content (WIC, SNAP, Japanese allowances) is general information only — amounts, thresholds and deadlines change, and official sources are the authority. We link and cite the need to verify rather than asking you to trust us on figures that move.

Update policy

Model prices and pack examples are reviewed on a rolling basis and date-stamped where they appear. Formulas and methods are corrected publicly whenever an error is found — the workings are shown precisely so that readers can catch us. If you spot a number that doesn't divide correctly, you have found a bug we want to know about.
